WHAT TO DO
Hand hygiene
Always wash and thoroughly dry your hands before handling contact lenses, using a lint-free towel.
Makeup
Put on your lenses before applying makeup and take them off before removing makeup to reduce residue and contamination on the lens.
Reviews with your professional
Visit your eye care professional at least once a year, or as often as they have advised.
Updated glasses
Always have glasses with an updated prescription (in case of irritation, dryness, infection, or to rest from contact lens use)
Self-check
Every day, check that your eyes are fine: no discomfort and clear vision. If there is pain or redness, stop wearing contact lenses and visit an optometrist.
WHAT NOT TO DO
Don't sleep with your lenses in
Do not sleep with contact lenses unless your eye care professional advises you to do so. Sleeping with them clearly increases the risk of infections.
Water activities with glasses
Before wearing contact lenses during water activities, consult your eye care professional. Exposure to water while wearing contact lenses increases the risk of serious infections, including Acanthamoeba keratitis.
Do not reuse dailies
Do not reuse daily contact lenses. Each daily lens must be discarded after each use.
Do not share your glasses
Do not share your contact lenses with anyone: you can transmit microorganisms and cause serious eye problems.
